ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Women’s Volleyball team recorded their first two wins of the season this weekend defeating SUNY Canton on Friday and Medaille on Saturday. Karlie King (Liverpool, N.Y.) was named to the All-Tournament Team for the second straight season. The Wildcats finished their four-match slate in the RIT/Rochester Tournament 2-2, placing seventh out of 11 teams.
DELHI, N.Y.- The SUNY Poly women’s soccer team fell to Delhi in their season opener on the road. The Broncos got up big in the first half and never looked back scoring 5 unanswered goals in their 6-1 victory.
MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Women’s Volleyball team traveled to Morrisville State for four non-conference matches this weekend. On Friday, the Wildcats opened the season with a match against Geneva, followed by a match against Cedar Crest. The Wildcats then took on Simmons and Penn St.-Behrend on Saturday.
MARCY, N.Y.- The SUNY Poly men’s soccer team lost a close 3-2 game to open their season Friday night against the Utica College Pioneers. After getting down a goal, the Wildcats came back to tie the game before the half. In the second half, Utica would come out hot and score two goals in just over 16 minutes. Poly nearly tied the game up late in the second half, but a great save kept the Pioneers in the driver's seat.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's and women's cross country team hosted the 13th annual SUNY Poly Short Course Invitational on Saturday. 13 teams competed in the season-opening race with 227 runners competing in either the 4K women's or 6K men's races.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcat Athletics Department is pleased to announce a change in conference alignment for the 2020-21 season. SUNY Poly will make the change officially on July 1st, 2020 joining the North Atlantic Conference (NAC). Eleven of the twelve Wildcat varsity sports will be sponsored by the NAC, allowing the Wildcats to compete for the NAC's auto-qualifying bids to the NCAA Tournament in each respective sport. The Wildcats will make the change after finishing their 11th season in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) in 2019-20. Fellow NEAC members Cobleskill State and Cazenovia College will make the change with SUNY Poly growing the membership of the NAC to 12 teams. The current NAC membership includes SUNY Canton, SUNY Delhi, UMaine-Presque Isle, UMaine-Farmington, Husson University, Northern Vermont University-Johnson, Northern Vermont University-Lyndon, Maine Maritime Academy, and Thomas College. With the addition, the conference will be transitioning to a divisional scheduling model in most sports. MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Athletic Department has released the finalized schedule for the 2019 cross country season. The schedule is comprised of seven regular-season meet dates, beginning on August 31st with three post-season races in November.

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s lacrosse team is heading to the NEAC Championship on Sunday after earning a 21-16 win over Keuka College in the NEAC Semifinals. The Wildcats never trailed in the game and grew their lead to as many as eight goals. The Wildcats will face the Morrisville Mustangs for the title on Sunday, May 5th at 1:00 PM. The Mustangs advanced to the NEAC final in a blowout win over Cazenovia on Saturday.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Athletics Department has announced that the baseball games against Penn College this weekend have been changed to a home game for the Wildcats. The games will be played at Hamilton College on Saturday and at Delutis Field in Rome on Sunday. Saturday's first game of the doubleheader will start at 12:00 PM. Sunday's single game will be at 12:00 PM at Delutis field at Rome.

The SUNY Poly Wildcats were well represented with Samantha Dayter (Cohoes, N.Y.) named the NEAC Rookie of the Year and five players named to All-Conference teams.

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team is Championship bound for the first time in program history. The Wildcats advanced in a thrilling 13-12 win at Keuka College. The Wildcats took a first-half lead but the Wolves did not give in, tying the game late in the third quarter. The Wildcat defense held strong in the fourth, allowing just one goal. The Wildcats will play the #1 seed Morrisville State Mustangs in the NEAC Championship game on Saturday, May 4th at 5:00 PM.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s lacrosse team advanced to the NEAC Semifinal round on Tuesday with a 19-12 win over the Medaille College Mavericks in the NEAC Quarterfinal. The Wildcats are now 11-6 this season. The NEAC Final Four will feature #1 Morrisville, #2 Keuka College, #3 SUNY Poly, and #4 Cazenovia. The Wildcats will take on Keuka in the first round on Saturday at Morrisville State. The game was historically significant for the Wildcats as it saw Kayla Prosinski (Endwell, N.Y.) become the first Wildcat to ever score 100 goals in a single season.
UTICA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly softball team lost to Keuka on Tuesday in a NEAC first round game 5-1. The game was lost in the fifth inning when Keuka scored five runs on a two-RBI single and a home run. The Wildcats would plate one in the bottom of the sixth, but it was not enough to keep their season alive. The Wildcats finished their 2019 season with an overall record of 14-19 with a NEAC record of 10-6.
MARCY, N.Y.- The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team won their final North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) regular season game against Medaille on Saturday. The Wildcats built up a 9-2 lead in the first half and never looked back. They would go on to outscore the Mavericks 4-3 in the second half. Before the game, the Wildcats celebrated Senior Day for their seven seniors. This year's seniors included Chase LaCava (Jamesville, N.Y.), Parker Naab (Rochester, N.Y.), Daniel Rivie (Ossining, N.Y.), Charles Rosaschi (Highland Mills, N.Y.), Ryan Daucher (Geneva, N.Y.), and Jonathan Sobolewski (Staten Island, N.Y.). All were in the starting lineup for the Wildcats.
CLINTON, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly softball team earned two wins over North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) rival Cazenovia on Wednesday. The first game was a 9-8 slugfest that saw the Wildcats win on a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning. Game two saw the Wildcats win thanks to a big four-run second inning. SUNY Poly had 25 hits in the two games. They are now 14-18 this season with a 10-6 NEAC record. They currently are tied for second place in the NEAC’s North Division.
ONEONTA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly baseball team lost to Oneonta on Wednesday 10-0 in non-conference play. The Wildcat offense could not get anything going against the Red Dragons. SUNY Poly had just six hits in the game while Oneonta plated ten runs on 13 hits. SUNY Poly is now 8-21 this season.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s lacrosse team took down Hartwick on Wednesday on the road in a competitive 15-13 game. The win brings the Wildcats season record to 10-5. In the first half, the Wildcats and the Hawks traded goals back and forth in the first half with the lead changing hands four times in 30 minutes. The first half ended in a 7-7 tie. The second half was more of the same, but the Wildcats scored three of the last four goals of the game to earn the win.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team earned a great North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win over Cazenovia College on Wednesday. SUNY Poly got out to a commanding five-goal lead in the first half and grew the lead to as many as seven goals in the second. The Wildcats got great production from some familiar players and got a great performance from Rhett Stauffer (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) who had a career-high three goals which included the first two Wildcat goals of the game. The win brings the Wildcats season record to 8-5 with a 4-2 NEAC record. The Wildcats are now in sole possession of third place in the NEAC.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly baseball won game three of their North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) series with Cazenovia on Tuesday 14-8. The game was an important one for the Wildcats who are currently tied for sixth place with Penn College in the NEAC standings. The game was a high scoring affair. Cazenovia took an early 1-0 lead in the second, but the Wildcats would take back the lead in the bottom half go the inning. The Wildcats scored in bunches, plating multiple runs in the second, the fourth, the fifth, the sixth, and the seventh innings of the game. The Wildcats are now 8-20 this season with a 5-6 record in NEAC play.
UTICA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly softball team took two games from the Morrisville State Mustangs on Monday in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play. The Wildcat pitching was the highlight of the games, but the offense also put up 16 runs in the two games helping SUNY Poly improve to 8-6 in NEAC play. Kayla Maiolo (Brooklyn, N.Y.) threw a gem in game one, pitching five innings of no-hit softball. It was her first no-hitter at SUNY Poly.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Athletics Department has announced that the softball games against Morrisville this weekend have been postponed due to the inclement weather that passed through the Utica area on Friday. The Wildcats and the Mustangs were originally scheduled to play on Saturday, April 20th at 1:00 and 3:00 PM. The games have been postponed and rescheduled for Monday, April 22nd at 3:30 and 5:30 PM. The games against Cazenovia College have also been rescheduled. The games will now take place on Thursday, April 25th at 3:30 and 5:30 PM. The Wildcats will be celebrating senior day on Thursday with a small pre-game ceremony to honor the seniors from this years team.
GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its NEAC student-athletes of the week for women's lacrosse on Monday. SUNY Poly's Kayla Prosinski was selected as the NEAC Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth consecutive week after having yet another fantastic week for the Wildcats. Kayla is the first player at SUNY Poly to be named the NEAC Player of the Week four consecutive times.
LANCASTER PA. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball season ended on Saturday in the NEAC Championship Semi-final game against Wells. The Wildcats lost the game 3-0 to Wells in the game 15-25, 20-25, 25-27. The Wildcats 2019 season was one that will be remembered for the record-breaking performances and impressive milestones that were reached.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s lacrosse team earned a thrilling win over Wells College on Sunday in an epic shootout which saw 45 goals scored. The game was one of the finest displays of scoring to ever take place at SUNY Poly’s Wildcat field, with a final score of 23-22. With the one-goal win, the Wildcats improve to 7-0 in NEAC play. The game was all tied up with less than a minute left in regulation when Kayla Prosinski (Endwell, N.Y.) scored the game-winning, man-down goal with 32 ticks left on the game clock.
