MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State Mustangs (2-5, 1-0 NEAC) pulled away in the 4th quarter of Wednesday's NEAC game with the SUNY Poly Wildcats (1-5, 0-2 NEAC) for a 9-3 victory. The home team spread the scoring around with 6 players registering a goal or more. The Wildcats held strong for the first three quarters and were down just 5-3 prior to the final period.
The Wildcats stayed in it thanks in large part to an incredible game by goalie RJ Ferrucci. Ferrucci made a whopping 21 saves, as the Mustangs held a 50 to 15 shot advantage in the game.
Nick Levanti led the Wildcats with 2 goals, with Andre Shattell scoring the other for the Wildcats.
Louie Geswaldo, Eliud Evans, and Brendan Shannon all tied for the Mustang lead with 2 goals apiece.
