MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team lost a close game to SUNY Potsdam on Wednesday by a score of 13-12. The game between the Wildcats and the Bears was tightly contested. The Wildcats led for the majority of the game after overcoming an early 3-1 deficit. Potsdam made a late push to get themselves in striking distance late in the game and took the lead back with under two minutes to go in the game. The Wildcats set up a great game-tying chance in the closing seconds of the game but the shot did not find the back of the net. The Wildcats are now 2-1 this season.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team earned their second win of the season on Sunday in an exciting 8-6 game over cross-town rival Utica College. The Wildcats were down early in the game but answered quickly to tie the game up in the third. A strong fourth quarter ultimately secured the win for the Wildcats. It was the program’s first-ever win over Utica.
GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced the 2019 NEAC All-Conference Teams for men’s lacrosse as voted on by the Head Coaches of the NEAC. The SUNY Poly Wildcats were well represented on the All-Conference teams with a conference-high nine players receiving honors.
KEUKA PARK, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team is Championship bound for the first time in program history. The Wildcats advanced in a thrilling 13-12 win at Keuka College. The Wildcats took a first-half lead but the Wolves did not give in, tying the game late in the third quarter. The Wildcat defense held strong in the fourth, allowing just one goal. The Wildcats will play the #1 seed Morrisville State Mustangs in the NEAC Championship game on Saturday, May 4th at 5:00 PM.
MARCY, N.Y.- The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team won their final North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) regular season game against Medaille on Saturday. The Wildcats built up a 9-2 lead in the first half and never looked back. They would go on to outscore the Mavericks 4-3 in the second half. Before the game, the Wildcats celebrated Senior Day for their seven seniors. This year's seniors included Chase LaCava (Jamesville, N.Y.), Parker Naab (Rochester, N.Y.), Daniel Rivie (Ossining, N.Y.), Charles Rosaschi (Highland Mills, N.Y.), Ryan Daucher (Geneva, N.Y.), and Jonathan Sobolewski (Staten Island, N.Y.). All were in the starting lineup for the Wildcats.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team earned a great North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win over Cazenovia College on Wednesday. SUNY Poly got out to a commanding five-goal lead in the first half and grew the lead to as many as seven goals in the second. The Wildcats got great production from some familiar players and got a great performance from Rhett Stauffer (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) who had a career-high three goals which included the first two Wildcat goals of the game. The win brings the Wildcats season record to 8-5 with a 4-2 NEAC record. The Wildcats are now in sole possession of third place in the NEAC.

MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team took down Cobleskill on Wednesday night 14-8 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play. The Wildcats got out to a good start, scoring four unanswered goals in the first quarter. Cobleskill nearly matched Poly goal-for-goal in the second quarter, but the Wildcats took an 8-3 lead into the locker room at halftime. The ‘Cats would close out the game relatively unscathed to finish out the win. SUNY Poly is now 6-4 overall with a 2-1 NEAC record.

The venue change is due to sub-par field conditions at SUNY Cobleskill. The game will still take place at 4:00 PM. MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's lacrosse team earned a North Eastern Athletic Conference win over Hilbert College on Saturday 13-6. The win brings the Wildcats season record to 5-4 with a 1-1 record in NEAC play. The game was historic as two Wildcats reached career milestones for the program. Edward Rosaschi (Highland Mills, N.Y.) became the programs all-time leader in career points surpassing the record of 108 with his fourth goal in the game. Daniel Rivie (Ossining, N.Y.) became just the fourth Wildcat to join the 100-point club at SUNY poly on his assist in the third quarter. The win over Hilbert was just the Wildcats second win over the Hawks in program history.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's lacrosse team lost a tight game to Morrisville State on Wednesday night at Morrisville. The game was the Wildcats first North Eastern Athletic Conference game of the season. The Wildcats are now 4-4 overall with a 0-1 NEAC record. The game was tight through the first half with the Wildcats holding a 5-4 lead at the end of the second quarter. SUNY Poly would add one more goal to push their lead to two, but Morrisville would score seven of the next eight goals taking an 11-7 lead into the fourth quarter. The Wildcats gave it a run in the fourth quarter, but their three goals were not enough to overcome the deficit.
ALFRED, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's lacrosse team improved their season record to 4-3 with a 19-7 win over Alfred State on Saturday. The Wildcats scored first in the game rattling off two goals in the first two minutes of play. A big run in the second helped the Wildcats establish a six goal lead with just over four minutes left in the first half. Another big run spanning the end of the third and beginning of the fourth quarter gave the Wildcats a commanding 17-6 lead with just under 11 minutes to play. SUNY Poly would close out the game to earn their fourth victory of the season. They are now 4-3 overall.

The Wildcats led by as many as six goals in the game, but the Roos would not go away easily, making the game interesting down the stretch with a 3-0 run in the fourth to bring the game within three goals. With the win, the Wildcats are now 2-4 in 2019.
HAMPTON, VA. – The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team lost to Hampton University on Tuesday. The final score was 15-10 in favor of Hampton, but the Wildcats put up a great fight against the NCAA Division I opponent. The Wildcats are now 1-2 this season.
MARCY, N.Y. – The Wildcat men’s lacrosse team was just a pair of goals shy from their first ever win over Utica College. The Pioneers hot first quarter was just enough to outlast the Wildcats in a 13-12 barn burner. The loss gives the Wildcats a 1-1 season record.
MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team earned their first win of 2019 on Thursday in a 13-6 win over the Houghton College Highlanders. The Wildcats controlled the flow of the game, winning 70% of their face-offs, scoring on 30% of their shots taken, and assisting on nine of their 13 goals. SUNY Poly also had an edge on defense, forcing 16 turnovers and scooping up 49 ground balls.

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2018 Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference Team on Wednesday with 43 student-athletes receiving first, second and third team honors. Five Wildcats received All-Conference honors. Ryan Mead (Churchville, N.Y.), Daniel Rivie (Ossining, N.Y.), and Jared Laird (Ontario, N.Y.) were voted to the Second Team. Austin Rio (Cicero, N.Y.) and Tyler Schmitz (Eden, N.Y.) were named to the Third Team.
BUFFALO, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team earned their ninth win of the season on Saturday in a 16-2 rout of Medaille. Nine different Wildcats scored points in the game and 14 of the Wildcats 16 goals were assisted.

The Wildcats took control of the game right off the bat taking a 4-1 lead in the first quarter. It was all smooth sailing from there with the Wildcats extending their lead and ultimately winning the game 11-5.

Marcy, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team 7-1, (2-1 NEAC) earned a big win over the Fighting Tigers of SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday, earning their seventh win of the season to become the winningest team in the history of SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse. The final score of the game was 15-6.
EDEN, NY - The SUNY Poly Wildcats (6-1, 1-1 NEAC) were defeated by Hilbert (3-4, 1-1 NEAC) on Wednesday in a low scoring North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game. The 5-4 loss was their first of the season.

CAZENOVIA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team (5-0, 1-0 NEAC) continued their winning ways on Wednesday with a 13-7 win over North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) rival Cazenovia (1-4, 0-1 NEAC). The win gives the Wildcats a 5-0 record for the first time in program history and was the Wildcats first win over Cazenovia since 2013.
CANTON, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team (4-0) earned a great win on the road over the SUNY Canton Kangaroos (5-2). While SUNY Poly was ahead for 50 minutes of the game, the Roos were never far off the Wildcats lead, which was three goals at its highest point. The final score of the game was 10-7.
HOUGHTON, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team (3-0) traveled to Houghton on Wednesday for a mid-week non-conference game against the Highlanders (0-5). The Wildcats got out to an early 3-1 lead in the first half on three unassisted goals. The team continued to play hard on both ends, scoring 10 more goals in the final three quarters while holding Houghton to just four total goals. The final score was 13-4. The win helped the Wildcats match their win total from last season and gives them a 3-0 record for the first time in program history.
ALFRED, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team improved to 2-0 on Sunday with a 14-8 win over Alfred State. The Wildcats got off to a hot start, taking an early lead in the first quarter. The Pioneers would try to mount a comeback, but the Wildcats would hold them at-bay to start a season 2-0 for the first time in program history.
