BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Medaille College Mavericks and the D’Youville College Spartans will meet for the 2014-15 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Men’s Volleyball Championship after each advanced with wins in the semifinal round Saturday.
AURORA, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Men’s Volleyball Team (15-10, 8-6 NEAC) completed a 5-match conference winning streak to end their NEAC play by defeating Wells (11-17, 8-6 NEAC) by a score of 3-1 on Friday night in Aurora. The crucial victory gives the Wildcats a good chance at qualifying for the 4-team NEAC playoffs, depending on the outcome of several matches this weekend.
DANBURY, Conn. – Less than a day removed from his being named the NEAC Men’s Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week, Wildcat junior A.J. Davids (Hilton, N.Y. / Hilton) added the honor of ECAC Player of the Week to his resume.
MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Men’s Volleyball Team (14-10, 7-6 NEAC) got three crucial victories on the road this weekend at the Lancaster Bible College NEAC Crossover. The team got on a roll starting with Friday night’s victory over Penn St.-Altoona that continued with a pair of straight-sets victories over host Lancaster Bible and then Keuka. The Wildcats didn’t drop a set the entire weekend.
LANCASTER, Pa. – The SUNY Poly Men’s Volleyball Team (12-10, 5-6 NEAC) picked up an always-important conference win Friday night, sweeping the Nittany Lions of Penn State Altoona in straight sets to improve to 5-6 in the NEAC.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Polytechnic Men’s Volleyball Team (10-10, 3-6) suffered a pair of conference losses on Saturday at their home tournament, the second NEAC Crossover the Wildcats have hosted this season. They lost in straight sets to conference-leading D’Youville (11-4, 9-0 NEAC), but managed to take a set off of arguably the NEAC’s best team,
MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Men’s Volleyball Team (10-6, 3-4 NEAC) took two out of three at the NEAC Crossover on Friday and Saturday, which the Wildcats hosted. The team swept Penn State Altoona on Friday evening, fell to Keuka in four sets in their first match on Saturday, then finished out the tournament with a sweep of the Lancaster Bible College Chargers.
BUFFALO, N.Y.- The SUNY Poly Men’s Volleyball Team (8-4, 1-2 NEAC) found themselves with their backs against the wall Saturday down 2-1 to Hilbert (0-11, 0-2 NEAC) in their first match of the day. The Wildcats snuck out a 4th game win and were able to take the victory in the 5th game to seal the deal 25-18, 21-25, 22-25, 27-25, 15-8.
KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Men’s Volleyball Team (5-3, 0-1 NEAC) recorded a season-high 18 service aces en route to a relatively stress-free defeat of the Elms College Blazers on Day 1 of the Keuka Restaurant Invite, hosted by Keuka College.
GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – After helping the Wildcat to a 3-1 start over the weekend at their home invitational, Justin Rich (Hamburg, N.Y. / Eden) was selected as the NEAC Men’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.
MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Men’s Volleyball Team (3-1, 0-0 NEAC) got off to a great start on Friday and Saturday, winning three of four matches at their home tournament. The Wildcats beat Bard on Friday afternoon before falling to Wentworth in the nightcap, then swept both of their Saturday matches with a 5-set thriller over D’Youville and a 3-set sweep of Wells.
