Wildcats Sweep Sage

Marcy, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly men's volleyball team improved to 4-1 with a win over Sage (0-1) Wednesday night at home. The Wildcats won in straight sets with scores of 25-15, 25-21, and 25-18. The Wildcats were strong offensively with a total of 41 kills and 38 assists. They also held their own on defense recording 38 digs.

A.J. Davids (Hilton, N.Y. / Hilton) led in kills with nine while six other plays recorded multiple kills. Jeff Knapp (Hamlin, N.Y. / Brockport) and Zach Goggin (Feeding Hills, Mass. / Agawam) led the way in assists with 13 apiece. Piotr Kasza (Mechowiec, Poland / Academy of American Studies) wasn't far behind with 10 of his own.

Dan O'Connor (Latham, N.Y. / Shaker) and Justin Rich (Hamburg, N.Y. / Eden) led the way defensively with 11 and 10 digs respectively.

SUNY Poly returns to action Saturday at Wells College at 4:00 pm. Wells and SUNY Poly met this past weekend which resulted in the Wildcats winning 3-0.
