MVB: Wildcats Beaten by New Paltz 3-0.

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's volleyball team traveled to New Paltz on Friday to square off with the Hawks in a non-conference match. The Wildcats took the loss in the match against a very talented New Paltz team 0-3 (12-25, 16-25, 19-25).

For the Wildcats, A.J. Davids (Hilton, N.Y. / Hilton HS) led all players with 11 kills. He hit .286 in the match with 21 attempts. A.J. also had three service aces, three digs, and a block assist. Zach Goggin (Feeding Hills, Mass. / Agawam HS) had 20 assists in the match, and Dan O'Connor (Latham, N.Y. / Shaker HS) had a team high seven digs.

The Hawks as a team had 12 service aces. They were led by Andy Fishman who hit .417 with six kills on 12 attempts.

The Wildcats record is now 6-3. The team will have a week off to prepare for their first NEAC action next weekend when they will take on Penn State Altoona on Saturday, and Wilson and Lancaster Bible on Sunday.
