NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team (5-9) lost to New Paltz (5-3) on Wednesday 0-3 on the road. Wildcat Zach Goggin (Feeding Hills, Mass.) reached an impressive milestone in the match, becoming the first setter in program history to surpass the 3,000 assist mark.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team improved to 4-4 on the season with a 3-0 win over Southern Vermont on Tuesday 25-7, 25-9, 25-8. The Wildcats hit .600 as a team and had eight players hit over .500 in the match.
ALBANY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team earned their first win of the season on Wednesday. The Wildcats (1-4) took down the Gators of Sage College (0-3) in three sets 25-23, 25-21, 25-17. The win was a career first for Wildcat Head Coach Katie Kenny.
GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2016-17 Scholar-Athlete selections. This year marks the third consecutive record-breaking year for the NEAC Scholar-Athlete Awards. A staggering 806 student-athletes in the NEAC were named scholar-athletes, surpassing last year’s mark of 787 by 19.
ALTOONA, PA. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball season came to an end this past weekend with a loss to Penn State Altoona in the NEAC semi-final match. The Wildcats fell to the Nitany Lions in a hard-fought four set match. The scores of the match were 18-25, 25-20, 25-27, 22-25.
ELMIRA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team wrapped up their 2017 regular season this past Saturday on the road in a tri-match against Nazareth and Elmira. The Wildcats lost both matches, the first in four sets to Nazareth and the second in five sets to Elmira.
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has announced its annual Thirty Under 30 award recipients for the 2017 season. SUNY Poly head men’s and women’s volleyball coach Dan Liberto has been selected as one of just four Division III recipients of the award.
Buffalo, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team traveled west to Buffalo for their final North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) pool play event of the season. Entering the event, the Wildcats were tied for third place, needing to retain their position to qualify for the NEAC Championship Tournament. The Wildcats went 2-1 in the three-match event, losing to Medaille, but beating D’Youville and Hilbert to hold their place in the standings. The Wildcats will be the fourth seed in the upcoming Conference Championships.
AURORA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team took on the Wells College Express on Tuesday night in a North Eastern Athletic Conference match with playoff implications. The Wildcats and the Express came into the game ranked fourth and third respectively with just a game separating the two teams. The Wildcats needed a win to tie Wells for third place and that is exactly what they did, winning in a thrilling five set match 29-27, 20-25, 14-25, 25-23, 15-9.
KEUKA PARK, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats traveled to Keuka on Friday to take on The Wolves in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) match. The Wildcats earned their eighth conference win 3-1 over the Wolves 25-18, 25-19, 23-25, 25-22.

MARCY, N.Y. - This past weekend, the Wildcats hosted a non-league, six-team invite at which the Wildcats played three matches against St. Joseph’s (L.I.), Wilkes, and Rivier. The Wildcats went 2-1 in the three matches beating St. Joseph’s and Wilkes while losing in five sets to #12 ranked Rivier.
MACY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team hosted #4 New Paltz on Saturday at SUNY Poly’s Wildcat Field House. The Wildcats lost to the Hawks 0-3 but did a good job hanging with their nationally ranked opponent. The final scores were 19-25, 16-25, 28-30.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats lost their first North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) match of the season on Wednesday 2-3 to Wells College. The difference in the match was simply the attacking. The Express hit .225 in the five set match while the Wildcats hit .151.

UNION, N.J. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball lost both matches on day two of their weekend trip to Massachusetts and New Jersey. On Sunday, the Wildcats took on Kean and Emmanuel at Kean University in Union, New Jersey. The Wildcats lost a heartbreaker 2-3 in the first match and lost in three sets to Emmanuel.
SPRINGFIELD, MASS. – The Wildcats lost their second match of the day on Saturday to Arcadia 3-1. The Wildcats struggled to settle into a grove. As a team they hit better than Arcadia, but could not finish out a set losing by two points in all three losing sets.
SPRINGFIELD MASS. – The SUNY Poly Wildcats took on #1 nationally ranked Springfield College Pride in in their first match of the day on Saturday. The Pride showed why they are the number one team in the nation winning the match handily 3-0 (10-25, 04-25, 10-25).
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats remained undefeated in conference play with a 3-1 win over Keuka on Thursday 25-18, 22-25, 25-21, 25-16. The Wildcats got off to a hot start hitting .394 in the first set. The Wildcats would end up hitting .226 in the match.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team hosted their annual Invitational this past weekend, hosting eight teams for 18 matches of Volleyball. The Wildcats had four of those matches, squaring up with some high quality opponents. The team went 1-3, but played well. The Cats’ lone win was against Cairn on Friday.
MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Wildcats men’s volleyball team lead by third year Head Coach Dan Liberto have released their official 2016-17 schedule. The Wildcats will play 32 games; 14 at home and 18 on the road.
BUFFALO, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Wildcats have advanced to the NEAC Final with a 3-0 win over Penn State Altoona on Saturday (25-21, 25-22, 25-21). The Wildcats hit .287 en route to the win and had three players hit better than .300 and had three with double digit kills.
GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The NEAC announced the Men's Volleyball All-Conference Selections on Thursday. SUNY Poly was well represented in the voting. Senior A.J. Davids (Hilton, N.Y.) and Sophomore Zach Goggin (Feeding Hills, Mass.) were voted to the NEAC All-Conference First Team, and Junior Nick Hagen (Hilton, N.Y.) was voted to the NEAC All-Conference Third Team.

AURORA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats clinched a spot in the NEAC Championship Tournament on Thursday with a 3-1 win over Wells (25-22, 25-23, 8-25, 26-24). The win places SUNY Poly firmly in the third place position which will likely lead to a match-up with Penn State Altoona in the first round of the tournament which will be hosted by NEAC Regular Season Champions; Medaille College.
MARCY, N.Y. - The Wildcats played host to Cal Lutheran on Monday night at the Wildcat Field House. Despite going up 2-0 in the first two sets, the Wildcats were unable to seal the deal and dropped the next three sets to the Kingsmen. The final line score for the match was (25-21, 25-18, 23-25, 19-25, 12-15).
ALTOONA, PA. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats traveled to Altoona this past weekend to compete in their last NEAC pool play event of the season. The Wildcats went 2-1 in the three match set earning wins against Lancaster Bible and Wilson, but dropping a match to host Penn State Atoona.
