The Wildcats lost to the Hawks 0-3 but did a good job hanging with their nationally ranked opponent. The final scores were 19-25, 16-25, 28-30.
MVB: Wildcats Fall to Kean and Emmanuel.UNION, N.J. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball lost both matches on day two of their weekend trip to Massachusetts and New Jersey. On Sunday, the Wildcats took on Kean and Emmanuel at Kean University in Union, New Jersey. The Wildcats lost a heartbreaker 2-3 in the first match and lost in three sets to Emmanuel.
MVB: Goggin Surpasses 2,000 Career Assists in Loss to Arcadia.SPRINGFIELD, MASS. – The Wildcats lost their second match of the day on Saturday to Arcadia 3-1. The Wildcats struggled to settle into a grove. As a team they hit better than Arcadia, but could not finish out a set losing by two points in all three losing sets.
MVB: Wildcats Fall to #1 Springfield 0-3. .SPRINGFIELD MASS. – The SUNY Poly Wildcats took on #1 nationally ranked Springfield College Pride in in their first match of the day on Saturday. The Pride showed why they are the number one team in the nation winning the match handily 3-0 (10-25, 04-25, 10-25).
MVB: Wildcats Host 2017 SUNY Poly Men's Volleyball Invitational.MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team hosted their annual Invitational this past weekend, hosting eight teams for 18 matches of Volleyball. The Wildcats had four of those matches, squaring up with some high quality opponents. The team went 1-3, but played well. The Cats’ lone win was against Cairn on Friday.

MVB: Three Wildcats Earn NEAC All-Conference Honors.GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The NEAC announced the Men's Volleyball All-Conference Selections on Thursday. SUNY Poly was well represented in the voting. Senior A.J. Davids (Hilton, N.Y.) and Sophomore Zach Goggin (Feeding Hills, Mass.) were voted to the NEAC All-Conference First Team, and Junior Nick Hagen (Hilton, N.Y.) was voted to the NEAC All-Conference Third Team.
MVB: Wildcats Close Out the Regular Season With a 3-0 Win Over Keuka.MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball finished their regular season on Saturday with a 3-0 win over Keuka College (25-22, 25-20, 25-20). The Wildcats, who already clinched a playoff spot, are now the number two seed in the NEAC Championship Tournament based on a tie-breaker with Penn State Altoona.

MVB: Wildcats Clinch Third Seed in NEAC Championship Tournament With a 3-1 Win over Wells.AURORA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats clinched a spot in the NEAC Championship Tournament on Thursday with a 3-1 win over Wells (25-22, 25-23, 8-25, 26-24). The win places SUNY Poly firmly in the third place position which will likely lead to a match-up with Penn State Altoona in the first round of the tournament which will be hosted by NEAC Regular Season Champions; Medaille College.
MVB: Wildcats Beaten in Five Sets by Cal Lutheran.MARCY, N.Y. - The Wildcats played host to Cal Lutheran on Monday night at the Wildcat Field House. Despite going up 2-0 in the first two sets, the Wildcats were unable to seal the deal and dropped the next three sets to the Kingsmen. The final line score for the match was (25-21, 25-18, 23-25, 19-25, 12-15).
MVB: Wildcats Go 2-1 in Last NEAC Pool Play Event of the Season.ALTOONA, PA. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats traveled to Altoona this past weekend to compete in their last NEAC pool play event of the season. The Wildcats went 2-1 in the three match set earning wins against Lancaster Bible and Wilson, but dropping a match to host Penn State Atoona.
MVB: Wildcats Go 1-2 in NEAC Pool Play Event.MARCY, N.Y. - SUNY Poly hosted a NEAC Pool Play Event this past weekend. The teams in attendance were Medaille, D’Youville, Hilbert, Keuka, and Wells. The Wildcats lost their first two matches to Medaille 3-1 and to Hilbert 3-2, but bounced back to take the third match 3-1 over D’Youville.
MVB: Wildcats Earn Sixth NEAC Win Over Wells 3-0.MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team hosted the Wells College Express on Tuesday for a NEAC Conference matchup. The Wildcats won in straight sets (25-20, 25-22, 25-21) over the Express thanks to some great hitting by the Wildcats who hit .352 as a team. While all the matches were close between the two teams, the Wildcats had a clear edge statistically. SUNY Poly registered 52 kills to the Express’s 33, and took 30 more swings on the offensive.
MVB: Wildcats Drop Two Non-Conference Matches to Rivier and Elmira.ELMIRA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team traveled to Elmira on Saturday to take on Rivier and Elmira in two non-conference matches. The men did not fare well in their matchups; dropping both matches. The first match against Rivier went four sets (21-25, 23-25, 25-22, 17-25) and the second against Elmira went just three (23-15, 21-25, 19-25).
MVB: Wildcats Battle to a 2-1 NEAC Weekend With Wins Over D'Youville and Hilbert.BUFFALO, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team had their first taste of NEAC Conference matches this weekend with a three match series against D’Youville, Medaille, and Hilbert. The Wildcats emerged 2-1, defeating D’Youville and Hilbert, but losing to first place Medaille. With the two wins, the Wildcats sit in third place in the NEAC.

MVB: Wildcats Finish Their Week 4-0 With Wins Over Newbury and Regis.MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats hosted a quad-match on Saturday at the Wildcat Field House. Teams in attendance were Wells, Regis, and Newbury. The Wildcats squared off with Newbury and Regis in their two matches and emerged with a win in each. The Wildcats won in three sets against Newbury (25-18, 25-15, 25-20) and in four sets against Regis (26-28, 25-17, 28-26, 25-15).

Nine teams were in attendance for the two day event. Each team played four matches on the three court setup of the Wildcat Field House. SUNY Poly went 2-2 in their four matches, winning against Bard and Elms, and losing to Vassar and Kean.

Four-Set Defeat of Wells Gives Wildcats Chance at NEAC PlayoffsAURORA, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Men’s Volleyball Team (15-10, 8-6 NEAC) completed a 5-match conference winning streak to end their NEAC play by defeating Wells (11-17, 8-6 NEAC) by a score of 3-1 on Friday night in Aurora. The crucial victory gives the Wildcats a good chance at qualifying for the 4-team NEAC playoffs, depending on the outcome of several matches this weekend.

Men’s Volleyball Finishes Sweep of Lancaster Bible College Tourney with Upset of KeukaMARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Men’s Volleyball Team (14-10, 7-6 NEAC) got three crucial victories on the road this weekend at the Lancaster Bible College NEAC Crossover. The team got on a roll starting with Friday night’s victory over Penn St.-Altoona that continued with a pair of straight-sets victories over host Lancaster Bible and then Keuka.
