AURORA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s volleyball season came to an end last night with a 3-1 loss to Wells College in the NEAC Quarterfinal. The Wildcats won the first set 25-21, but fell in the second, third, and fourth sets (13-25, 18-25, 19-25) allowing Wells to advance.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s volleyball team will take on Wells College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Quarterfinal match on Tuesday, October 31st. The Wildcats, the four seed in the North Division, will travel to Wells who earned the top seed. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 PM start at Wells College’s Farenthold Athletic Wing Gymnasium.
WILLIAMSPORT, PA. - The SUNY Poly women's volleyball team (10-12, 5-3 NEAC) improved to 5-3 in NEAC play with a 3-0 sweep of Penn College (3-13, 2-6 NEAC). The Wildcats made quick work of Penn College, winning a close set 25-18 in the first before turning up the heat and taking the second and third set 25-15, 25-14. The win was a true team effort for the Wildcats with no one player recording more than six kills in the match.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s volleyball team (6-11, 3-2 NEAC) fell to Morrisville State (13-3, 4-1 NEAC) on Tuesday in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) matchup. The Wildcat attack was stagnant registering just 18 kills in the match, tying a season low. On the other side of the net, the Mustangs were firing on all cylinders hitting .213 as a team with 45 kills.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s volleyball team (6-10, 3-1 NEAC) took down Penn State Berks (6-9, 3-1 NEAC) in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play on Saturday. The two teams split the first two sets, each finishing 25-18. The Wildcats would bounce back convincingly from a second set loss to take the third 25-16 before closing out the match with a 25-20 win in the fifth.
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - On Saturday the SUNY Poly women’s volleyball team took part in a tri-match featuring R.I.T (9-5), SUNY Poly (5-8), and the host, Bard (3-12). The Wildcats split their two matches losing to RIT in three sets (22-25, 17-25, 20-25) and beating Bard in three sets (25-16, 25-19, 25-21).
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUYN Poly women’s volleyball team (3-6, 1-1NEAC) lost to Wells College (6-4, 2-0 NEAC) on Friday in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) match. The final score of the match was 3-1 in favor of the Wells Express 25-20, 17-25, 25-17, 29-27. The match was a thriller, especially the fourth set in which the lead changed hands three times.
COBLESKILL, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s volleyball team (3-5, 1-0 NEAC) extended their winning streak to three games on Wednesday and earned their first North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win of the season over Cobleskill State (4-2, 0-1 NEAC). The Wildcats got it done at the net with 12 total blocks (5 solo, 13 assist) setting a new season high en route to the 3-1 win.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats (2-5) won their second consecutive game on Monday with a 3-1 win over Utica College (1-8). The Wildcats lost the first set 27-25 after a long back-and-fourth fight. Down 0-1 the Wildcats gathered their composure and won out in convincing fashion 25-14, 25-16, and 25-19.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s volleyball team (0-4, 0-0 NEAC) hosted Cortland (3-2, 0-0 SUNYAC) on Wednesday in a non-conference matchup. The Wildcats fell to the Red Dragons in three sets, but not without a fight. The two teams battled back and forth finishing the first two sets 25-23. Facing a 0-2 deficit, the Wildcats needed a big comeback. Unfortunately, Cortland closed out the third set handily, 25-15 to cap the win.
GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2016-17 Scholar-Athlete selections. This year marks the third consecutive record-breaking year for the NEAC Scholar-Athlete Awards. A staggering 806 student-athletes in the NEAC were named scholar-athletes, surpassing last year’s mark of 787 by 19.
GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2016 Women’s Volleyball All-Conference selections. SUNY Poly fared well in the selection process garnering three All-Conference Selections and a Coach of the Year Selection for Coach Dan Liberto.

ALFRED, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly women’s volleyball team finished their season on a high note this weekend with two wins over Alfred and Oswego. The Wildcats beat Alfred in a back and forth five set match in their first game on Saturday and won in four sets in their second match of the day against Oswego.

MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Wildcats won out this weekend to secure the top seed in the NEAC and the right to host the NEAC Championship Tournament. The Wildcats won their final three NEAC games against Cazenovia, Wells, and Keuka. This is the second time in as many years that the Wildcats finish as the one seed and host the Championship.

On Friday the Wildcats hosted SUNY Geneseo and on Saturday they hosted Nazareth and SUNY New Paltz. The Wildcats came out of the three games without a win but gained valuable experience in the hardest games of their 2016 schedule.
MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly women’s volleyball team hosted Hartwick on Wednesday in a non-conference game at the Wildcat Field House. The Wildcats and the Hawks fought back and forth in the five set match, but ultimately the Hawks were victorious 3-2 (25-18, 23-25, 15-25, 25-21, 15-9).
READING, Pa. – The SUNY Poly women’s volleyball team traveled to Pennsylvania this past weekend for the third of four NEAC Crossover weekends of the 2016 season. The Wildcats went 3-0 with wins over Lancaster Bible, Penn College, and Penn State Berks.
MARCY, N.Y. – The Wildcats hosted Bard on Tuesday evening in a non-conference match. The Wildcats took the raptors down with ease beating them in three sets 25-16, 25-16, 25-15. The Wildcats hit .228 as a team and had eight total blocks in the match.
COBLESKILL, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly women's volleyball team traveled to Cobleskill this past weekend to participate in their first NEAC Crossover event of the season. MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s volleyball team hosted Sage College on Wednesday in a non-conference match. The Wildcats were beaten in five sets after a closely contested back-and-forth match. Neither team hit particularly well in the match, Sage mustering just a .074 hitting percentage and SUNY Poly with just a .071 percentage. The final score was 3-2 in favor of the Gators [18-25, 25-15, 20-25, 25-19, 15-17]
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Wildcats traveled to Rochester this weekend to attend the University of Rochester Invitational. The Wildcats played three matches in the tournament against Rochester, Brockport State, and St. John Fisher. Unfortunately the Wildcats came up empty, losing all three matches.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats beat local rival Utica College on Wednesday night 3-0 [25-19, 25-20, 25-14]. The Wildcats out played the Pioneers on all fronts hitting nearly .200 as a team and holding a 15-1 margin on service aces. The only advantage for Utica was in the middle where the Pioneers registered four total blocks to the Wildcats two.
GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats have been voted 2nd in the annual North Eastern Athletic Conference’s (NEAC) Women’s Volleyball Preseason Poll. The Wildcats earned 157 points in the poll, just three points behind the defending NEAC Champion Gallaudet Bison. The Wildcats received five first place votes in the poll which surveyed the 14 head coaches of the NEAC member institutions. The first ranked Bison received eight.
MARCY, N.Y. - Much has been said about the SUNY Poly women’s volleyball teams success on the court in the recent past. What typically gets lost is the heart and dedication of these young women off the court and in the community. The latest example of their dedication and caring is their formation of a team in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
LEXINGTON, K.Y. - The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced its annual Division III Regional Awards on Thursday and SUNY Poly senior outside hitter Morgan Eberley (Utica, N.Y. / Whitesboro HS) has earned AVCA New York Region Honorable Mention. Morgan, who was named AVCA Division III Player of the Week earlier this year is the first SUNY Poly volleyball player to earn such distinguished national honors.
MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Wildcats women’s volleyball won 3-1 over Keuka College in the NEAC Conference Semi-final match today to send the team to the Conference Championship. The Wildcats will match up with Gallaudet University on Sunday at 1:00 PM at SUNY Poly’s Wildcat Field House.
GANESEVOORT, N.Y. - The NEAC has announced its Individual Achievement Awards and All-Conference selections. After a phenomenal regular season, the SUNY Poly women’s volleyball took home three individual awards and three All-Conference awards.
